LED: School, Singapore

Founded in 1852, this school is housed in a building completed in 1988. As with most public buildings of the time, the use of conventional incandescent and fluorescent lighting was prevalent due primarily to basic lux level requirements and the lack of alternatives. Since 2009, the school has embarked on an energy efficiency program to reduce utility cost. Conventional lights have given way to energy efficient ones.
