LED Lights and Energy Efficiency: What About Induction and Plasma?

We often hear people going “I can’t keep up with technology!” And there is a lot of truth in that statement—a typical person has difficulty in keeping up with technology advances, especially considering how many different types of technologies touch our lives every day. But as professionals in the world of technology, it is part of our duty and interest to be au courant with the latest and the greatest—else we won’t be doing our jobs right nor would we be taking proper care of our customer and partners’ needs.

So, when a professional that has been in the lighting industry for twenty odd years says he thinks that energy efficient lighting can only be LED-based lights, and that Induction lighting technology is an old and unnecessary option, the statement raises a red flag.

It begs the question of how did this person come to this conclusion!

Someone out there had said, “LED is new and sexy, and it is the future!” And just like a herd of sheep, we blindly follow that statement. The proof of this fact is easy to see. Just take a look at the largest lighting show in the world, and you will see thousands of stands pushing for LED lighting technology, but only one and a half stands demonstrating Induction lamps.

Mind you, there is nothing wrong with LED lights. In fact, there are many applications where LED lamps are the best solution for energy efficiency, just as how there are many other situations when Plasma lights work best. And then there are many other instances where Induction lamps are the right choice because it is a proven technology, offers all the benefits of green energy, lasts up to 100,000 hours, and offers the fastest ROI of any energy efficient lighting system.

The ability to offer a complete lighting solution is the reason why IEQ Global is the only company in the world that designs, tests, and manufactures all three energy efficient technologies—LED, Plasma, and Induction. It is that ability that allows IEQ Global to possess extensive knowledge and experience in deciphering which of these technologies is best used in different instances and when to cleverly combine them together for the ultimate result.

As the third largest producer of Induction lights, it is obvious that induction is a major focus for IEQ Global. IEQ Global has enjoyed great success installing Induction lights in high bay, street lighting, and other industrial and government-sector environments throughout Asia in just a short span of a few years. In 2012 and beyond, IEQ Global expects to duplicate this success throughout the rest of the world. As the only supplier of Induction lamps that has all the requisite certifications from the many international bodies, such as USA, Singapore, Japan, Germany, Russia, Australia, and many other countries, IEQ Global is confident of this goal.

Conscious of the need to educate the public to switch to energy efficient lights in an age when environmental sustainability is a forefront issue, IEQ Global is dedicated to educating its customers and partners on the many advantages of Plasma, Induction, and LED lights. It is simple to achieve the best results through the use of these energy efficient lighting technologies, and IEQ Global has the ability and knowledge to enable their customers and clients to do so.

So let’s be open-minded and look at all options before making final decisions—otherwise we’ll just end up being just another herd of sheep!
