Induction & LED: Airport, Singapore

Operational in 1981, this continues to be one of the busiest air transportation hubs in the world and probably the busiest in Asia. It has 28,000 employees on site and in 2010, handled over 42 million passengers and close to 2 million tonnes of cargo. Due to its increasing capacity, energy consumption has correspondingly increased and the management of which has included the use of energy efficient lighting in mission critical areas. Providing instant re-strike capabilities, the use of energy efficient induction and LED lighting has enabled the airport to manage re-lamping and maintenance costs.
